Midweight Interior Designer (3-5 years' experience)

MoreySmith is looking for a talented Midweight Interior Designer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience in interior design with particular experience of commercial workplace design, hospitality and commercial high-end residential. Ideally candidates will have at least one year’s experience working within London. Salary package will be based on experience.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Creative Director and Design Director plus the senior design team on various high profile projects.

Skills to include:
Creative, innovative and ability to articulate design language
Strong sketching and visualisation skills required
Strong knowledge of materiality
FF&E skills essential
Proven design development and attention to detail
Proven ability to work within budgets
Self-motivated, proactive and passionate about pushing the boundaries of design

Additional notes:
At interview the candidate should bring projects that best demonstrate their abilities as well as sketchbooks and any digital media that supports their application. The interviewer will be looking for strong presentation skills, design articulation and creative and innovative design solutions.


Architect 3-5 years' experience (Belfast, Northern Ireland)

MoreySmith is looking for an ambitious Architect, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in contemporary building refurbishments or an architectural background with an interiors focus. We have an exciting range of commercial and hotel schemes and are seeking talented individuals with the architectural skills to contribute to a wide selection of design and technically challenging projects. The job will be based in MoreySmith’s satellite office in Belfast.

Skills to include:

• Experience in the submission of detailed planning and listed building applications and other statutory consents
• Experience of cladding packages / coordination
• Flexibility, to work as part of a large team or able to lead a small project team
• Adept at carrying out detailed coordination with other consultants
• On site experience, working closely with contractors to ensure a high level of finish
• Good knowledge of bespoke joinery detailing and specialist finishes
• Excellent AutoCAD and Revit skills

Interviewees are expected to:

• Offer examples of completed planning/listed building packages
• Demonstrate experience in taking a concept through to completion
• Be articulate, show initiative and be capable of working as part of a dynamic team
• Hold ARB accreditation


Internship for Creative Interior Designer / Interior Architect
