Great Guildford Street

London
Interior Design, Workplace

Located in a recently renovated Victorian warehouse on Great Guildford Street, our new studio is spread over three floors and is across the road from the existing office which we have been based in for 17 of our 27 years. The new workspace connects to our existing creative studio, with access from two parallel street entrances.

The additional space will allow for further expansion, but for now it enables the team to be back in the studios at a lower density and to work fluidly across the two sites. The new space has been designed so there are a multitude of different areas for the team to work safely with social distancing, while continuing to collaborate, eat together and practice wellbeing at work in a post-pandemic work environment.
Embracing biophilic design principles, a previously filled in floor void has been opened up as a focal point, flooding the lower ground floor of the studio with natural light and there is generous planting throughout.
A key feature of the studio is a bold, 7.5 metres long and 2.5 m high artwork called ‘5th March 1972’ by Bob and Roberta Smith. Made of recycled wood that the artist collects from skips and refuse yards, it brings colour and energy to the main studio workspace.
