“MoreySmith’s design of 200 Aldersgate has created a distinguished, contemporary workspace in the heart of the City that will attract a broad spectrum of occupiers.  The building now provides tenants with a vibrant, exciting and energised workplace with excellent facilities in the much improved common areas.”

Gerald Kaye, Director, Helical Bar

The extensive and innovative refurbishment included a new external façade and major internal refurbishment.  The front façade has been replaced by a double height glazed podium section with glazed cladding above.  This maximises natural light and gives a transparent appearance, allowing views into the building from the street. The new podium also enables the building to be successfully multi-tenanted.

MoreySmith designed two large receptions and lobby areas including a cycle store for 220 bikes with shower and changing facilities. On the first floor a new business lounge and café now links the two blocks that make up the building. Many of the external terraces have also been given a new lease of life, allowing occupants to enjoy stunning views across the city.
