Project:

New build development - 8640 m²

Scope:

Interior Design and Architecture from envelope shell including all areas and common parts

Our role:

Interior architectural designer, lead designer

“MoreySmith has given us a world-class interior.  The success of the design is proved by the high demand for the space – with 5575 sq m let prior to launch including the re-location of a major retailer’s head office.  Given the market conditions at the time of building this was an incredible achievement, which support the view that good design is a valuable investment.”

Neil Thompson, Great Portland Estates

This extensive build integrates architectural and interior design features which cleverly link the space injecting light and warmth at every opportunity.  The design is defined by its striking reception and atrium with part glazed bridges which link the floors and distribute light.

The reception is flooded with light, both from the atrium and from the large curved frontage on to Wells St and Mortimer St.  A luxury hotel ambiance is conveyed by the comfortable seating areas within reception, framed by the hand notched solid walnut panels. The textured limestone reception desk with striking coloured illuminated fluorescent slot detail is offset by the backdrop of hand stitched leather panels.
