Situated in the heart of London’s Spitalfields, the rooftop of 37 Brushfield offers sweeping views across the contrasting neighbourhoods of Bishop’s Square and Old Spitalfields. Commissioned by JP Morgan Asset Management, MoreySmith was tasked with transforming this previously unused space into a vibrant rooftop retreat.

Spanning 2,150 sq ft, the design introduces a dynamic new amenity by softening the site’s utilitarian architecture. The intervention includes extensive planting, natural timber cladding, and a carefully curated biophilic environment that brings nature into the urban context. A palette of evergreen species—supported by a full irrigation system—ensures year-round greenery, attracting biodiversity and offering building users a continuous connection to nature.
