Maple House

London
2024

MoreySmith has transformed the reception at 149 Tottenham Court Road for Lazari Investments. A 1,830 sq ft space at the heart of a multi-tenant commercial refurbishment in London’s Fitzrovia.

Maple House, originally designed by Richard Seifert in 1973, the building housed Maple & Co the largest furniture and upholstery store in the world at the time, having supplied to the households of Queen Victoria and George V.

Blending heritage and innovation, MoreySmith retained and celebrates the building’s original brutalist features while introducing tactile warmth, elegant detailing, and bespoke craftsmanship throughout.

Designed as part of a broader repositioning of the building, which will include a members’ club and rooftop terrace (to be designed by MoreySmith and unveiled later this year), the reception sets a new tone of understated luxury and hospitality-inspired design.
