When McKinsey chose to move from its home of 25 years at 1 Jermyn Street, we were thrilled to design a new workplace that reflects its forward-thinking culture. We’re proud that the result won the BCO 2020 Award for Workplace Fit Out – London.
The tenth-floor arrival experience, featuring panoramic views and Astral Projection—a suspended neon installation by Cerith Wyn Evans—sets a premium tone for clients. A biophilic greenhouse anchors the central stairwell, with planting integrated throughout the workspace to bring nature indoors.
Client space across the top two floors has doubled, offering flexible co-working areas and premium suites to support collaboration through workshops, sprints, and hackathons.
The wider workplace balances quiet, focused zones with open, dynamic areas, empowering employees to choose how and where they work best.
